When did feeling achy, tense and stressed become your new normal?

Yes, your body is changing.
No, pushing through pain and tension isn’t part of the deal.

Maybe your back’s playing up again. Your periods have gone unpredictable — along with your energy, your libido, your patience. And somehow, 3am has become a perfectly normal time to be lying there wide awake.

You blame stress. Hormones. Getting older.

You stretch. You eat well. You take your supplements. You promise yourself an early night.

And mostly, you just get on with it.

But “I can cope” is a pretty low bar for feeling good in your body.

You’ve already got enough on your plate. Maybe looking after yourself doesn’t need to be one more thing on the list.

Maybe, for once, you don’t need to be the one doing all the looking after.

Your body isn’t the problem. You’ve just got used to feeling rubbish.

It doesn’t happen overnight.

One bad night becomes “I just don’t sleep like I used to.” A stiff back becomes “that’s just my back now.” Your period gets weird — more painful, less predictable — and, well… hormones.

Bit by bit, you adjust. You work around the aches. Get used to the tension. Accept being tired more often. And because you can still work, exercise, look after everyone and keep going, it’s easy to assume you’re fine.

Without noticing, “feeling good” turns into “not feeling too bad today.”

You’re not falling apart. You’ve just become very good at functioning around how you feel.

And functioning isn’t the same as feeling well.

What Worked for Your Body Then Might Not Be What It Needs Now.

You get to know your body over the years. What keeps you moving. What helps you sleep. What usually sorts out that dodgy back.

Then things change, and the old tricks stop working.

The temptation is to try harder. Add something else to the list.

But a changing body doesn’t necessarily need more effort. It might need a different kind of attention.

No lifestyle overhaul.
No fixing everything at once.
No turning looking after yourself into another job.

There isn’t one standard answer for what your body needs now.

A massage isn't designed for women just because there´s a woman on the table.

A lot of massage follows a familiar map: find what’s tight, work on it, move on. Woman or man, much the same map.

Useful? Absolutely. The whole picture? Not quite.

Because the woman on the table doesn’t arrive as a collection of tight muscles. She arrives with a cycle, a history, a life — and sometimes a body right in the middle of a transition.

And even within the same month, what feels good — or what needs attention — can change.

That doesn’t mean everything is hormonal. It means context matters.

So I don’t start with a favourite technique and make you fit it. I start with you, then shape the massage around what makes sense that day.

Because if massage is designed for women, we need a bigger map.

A Massage Can Make You Feel Better. What Happens Next Is Where It Gets Interesting.

Feeling better after a massage matters. Of course it does.

But if that’s where it ends, something useful gets left on the table: the chance to understand your body a bit better — and have practical ways to look after it when you’re back in your own life.

Because I get some time with your body. You get the rest of your life with it.

So I don’t want everything useful to depend on what I can do with my hands.

You Should Leave With More Than Just Feeling Better.

Before you arrive, I read your intake form so I already have some context before you get on the table.

Your massage might draw on myofascial release, abdominal massage, trigger point work or rebozo — depending on what makes sense that day.

Before you leave, we’ll choose what might actually help at home — perhaps abdominal self-massage, traditional approaches, cycle tracking, or support around sleep, movement or daily rhythms.

Not all of it. You’ve got quite enough to do already.

I’ve Spent Years Working With Women’s Bodies.
They’ve Taught Me Not to Make Assumptions.

I’m Esther. For years, I supported women through pregnancy, birth and postpartum — times when bodies change enormously and being listened to, respected and properly supported really matters.

That experience shaped how I work today.

I’ve learned to look beyond the symptom in front of me, to ask questions before assuming I know the answer, and to work with the woman — not just on her body.

Now I bring that same approach to women who’ve spent years getting on with life — and are starting to notice their bodies have quietly changed along the way.

Different chapter. Same woman. And still no standard instruction manual.

The Massage Ends. What You Take From It Doesn’t Have To.

What you learn about your body doesn’t disappear when you get dressed.

You leave with a clearer sense of what your body may need and simple ways to continue supporting it at home.

After your session, you’ll have one month of access to your personal online resource space, with abdominal self-massage videos, gentle movement, breathing practices, meditations for women and other practical self-care tools.

You don’t need to do everything. I’ll guide you towards the resources most relevant to you, so you can focus on what feels useful and realistic.

Because the useful bit shouldn’t end when the appointment does.

Just a Heads-Up: This Isn’t About Someone Else Having All the Answers.

Maybe you’ve been told “it’s probably stress.” Helpful. Now what?

Or you’ve tried supplements, stretching, eating better, resting more — some helpful, some gathering dust in a cupboard.

It’s not that you haven’t tried. You’d just quite like it all to make a bit more sense.

My kind of women? Curious. Capable. A bit fed up with piecing it all together themselves.

If you want a massage that starts and ends on the table, we probably won’t be the best fit.

But if you’re done guessing your way through your own body — well, now we’re talking.

RIGHT, HERE’S THE PLAN.

I could tell you what happens after a session. But the women on the receiving end can probably do that bit better.

A Few Things You Might Be Wondering Before You Book.

Do I need to have a specific problem to book?

Not at all. You might have pain, tension or changes in your cycle you’d like help with. Or you might simply feel your body could do with some proper attention. You don’t need a diagnosis — or a dramatic reason — to book.

That’s completely fine. You don’t need to arrive knowing what’s going on or how to explain it perfectly. We’ll start with what you’ve been noticing and make sense of it together.

There’s no standard routine. Depending on what makes sense for you that day, I might use myofascial release, trigger point work, rebozo, abdominal massage or more traditional massage techniques. Usually, it’s a combination rather than just one thing.

Not at all. It’s one of the techniques I can use, but it isn’t compulsory. We’ll talk about what feels appropriate and comfortable, and you can always say no or change your mind.

That’s absolutely fine. This isn’t a lesson, and you won’t be sent home with a long list of things you “should” be doing. You decide how much or how little you want to take away from the session.

Whatever you feel comfortable in. For the massage, you’ll only undress as much as you’re comfortable with, then you’ll be tucked up nice and cosy under towels, with only the area I’m working on uncovered. We’ll talk through things beforehand, and nothing happens without your agreement.

Yes, absolutely. There’s no need to cancel. It can actually be a lovely time for some extra warmth, gentle touch and relaxation. Tell me how you’re feeling that day and we’ll adapt the massage accordingly. If there’s anything you’d rather avoid, we simply won’t do it.

I won’t diagnose you or pretend to have all the answers. I can help you make sense of what you’re noticing and explore practical ways to support your body. And if something sounds like it needs medical attention, I’ll encourage you to get it checked.

There’s no package or set number of sessions to commit to. If ongoing support would be useful, I’ll suggest a rhythm based on what’s going on for you, and we’ll decide together what feels realistic and worthwhile.
